2. Newry Eligibility Requirements
To rent a vehicle from Newry, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old for rentals in Newry (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photographic identification together with evidence of address and a payment card in the renter’s name at collection.
3. Bookings and Payments
- Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Newry location. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. 4. Vehicle Pickup and Return
- At collection, inspect the vehicle carefully and notify Newry immediately of any existing damage. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Newry representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be assessed and billed to you.
5. Insurance and Liability — Newry
- Newry provides basic third-party insurance with all rentals. Full coverage descriptions and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to reduce your potential financial liability. We recommend reviewing these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount stated in the Rental Agreement.
6. Cancellations and Amendments
Newry's cancellation and amendment policies depend on booking type and notice period. Please consult your booking confirmation or rental agreement for the applicable terms. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.
7. Newry Restrictions
You must not use Newry's rented vehicle for:
- Use of a Newry vehicle for illegal purposes or activities. Racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unauthorized drivers. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Any purpose for which the vehicle is not intended...
Violating these restrictions may result in immediate rental termination and additional charges from Newry.
8. Limitation of Newry's Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Newry Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or business arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid to Newry Vehicle Hire Services for the specific hire that gave rise to the claim, or, if lower, the total amount paid in the six months prior to the event.
9. Governing Law for Newry
These Terms are governed by Northern Ireland law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Northern Ireland courts.
10. Revisions to Terms
Newry may revise these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services signifies acceptance of the revised Terms.
